「 invaded it on 3:55 PM 」

I hate this feeling...feeling of uncertainty.

I did something impulsive last week...I signed up for the RMIT SRC Eating Event: Chowdown!!! There are 3 categories: Sausages, spicy noodles and ice cream. Ya, I sign up for ALL 3 events...... Since its free registration and the top prize is $100 each day. But been having cold feet the past few days....My stomach might not take it for 3 days.

Anyway, come down to the SIM Atrium from 27-29 Sept between 1245 to 1400 hrs to support me!!!!

「 invaded it on 10:03 PM 」

I am back from Berkelah!!! Time to update my blog!!!!

I was suppose to update on my Stong / Ayam trip but eh......I was kinda busy recently and I tried blogging the details of the trips but it was kinda tedious.... I tried to let pictures do the talking but I somehow cant upload the pics so I am just gonna summarise it. The trip was wonderful!!!!The trek was long and tiring but I really got a kick out of it!!! The view was heavenly, I felt like I was in heaven!!! We had a knowledgeable guide in Fauzi who had all the answers to our questions and also more knowledge that we could digest!!! This is certainly the best trekking trip I ever had and even beats the Redang trip I had earlier in June!!! I seriously would love to go back to the town of Dabong, the Baha Base Camp and scale the summit of Stong and Ayam once more. The pace of life is slow, but every morning, we wake to fresh air, no worries and we could even drink straight from the river. The only minus point is that we have to trek 2 hrs to get food. Otherwise the life there is ideal for me, for once, I did not miss my comp, internet, SCV and other luxury I have back in Singapore. After this trip, all other treks just couldnt compare and next on list is Gunung Tahan. Some of you might think that I am joking, but I am seriously looking for people to scale Gunung Tahan with me. Endurance is no problem to me, I get inspire by physical demands and I just need to prepare sufficiently... Are you game enough?

The Stong trip was from 03-08 Sept. I arrived back in Singapore around noon time and reach home around 1230. I tot I gonna rest at home before leaving for work...but made arrangements with my best friend for a KTV session at 3. Soon after I had to make changes to my plans, cos my sweetie pie wanted to meet us in school to pass us the singlets she had bought for us. I agreed, thinking that we were going out after that...But I realised in school that they had their own plans and I joined Weijie and Gang for KTV after school and left for work feeling damn bloody shack.

After work on Sunday morning, I meet Zick and Jo at Clementi and drove to Toa Payoh SAFRA to meet FG for the Power 98 Carvivor Challenge. The top and only prize was $10K!!! Though I wasnt confident of winning, I decided to forgo my sleep and take part for the sake having a chance to be $2500 richer.
There were 5 stations, our first stop was squeezing limes at CCK stadium. We had to squeeze 200ml of lime juice at the fastest time but we ended up having one of the worst times!!!
Next stop was Pasir Ris Downtown East, we had to answer about 10 questions and we ran around looking for answers. We completed the questionaire within 17 mins and we headed to Changi Village for Nasi Lemak Lunch.
After filling our stomachs, we headed to our next check point, West Coast Park. Ok now the irony is, we were in West Coast Park in the morning having our breakfast before heading to Toa Payoh. At West Coast Park, we had to fold paper aeroplanes and throw 5 of them thru a hoop. The person in charge of our station probably took pity on us and gave us "discount" cos we had only manage to get 1 plane thru the hoop and he said that we had 3 already. This spur us on to get 2 more thru!! I guess the game master was also sick of waiting for so many teams throwing paper arrowplanes!!
Our 4th station was the Carlsberg Skytower in Sentosa. Though we had to pay entry to sentosa, each of us got a free ride up the Carlsberg Skytower. We had to listen to the commentary and observe the view surround the tower. Then we had to skip and answer a question, if we couldnt answer the question, we had to skip 98 times. I was first up and guess wat? I could answer the qns and had to skip 98 times and in the process I strained my groin!!! aRggh... luckily the others had easier qns and didnt have to suffer my fate.
Finally to our final station, Motorway, a car rental company where Zick had rented this car we were driving. There we had to separate red beans and green beans. A fairly easy task which we completed in around 6 mins. Afterthat, its back to to Toa Payoh SAFRA for the results....The winning team had a time of less than 15 mins... faster than what we took at Down Town East alone....Oh well, we didnt win but we enjoyed ourselves. When I got home I slept for freaking 12hours!!! From 9pm to 9am.

Sept 11-15 was SIM student week, it was also the beginning of the new school term for SIM Year 2 and 3 and beyond students. Though I had only lessons on Thurs and Fri, somehow I was in school everyday!!
Monday, I was in school to watch Lijing and Bernard sing. Then it was time to clean the tents we used in Stong and at 5, we had our weekly ODAC meeting.
Tuesday, I went to Clementi to pay UOL, went to school just to change my timetable......Was suppose to wait for Fake and Real Sweetiepies to go Queensway to order windbreakers....but ended up going Kbox with FG and Apple....Was suppose to follow Apple all the way to Tampines for Alvin's belated birthday celebration...But its was getting liao...So had dinner with FG in Clementi instead.
Wednesday, woke up believing I had Econs lesson. Luckily, I checked the student portal for the lt room and realise Econs begins only the following week and there was nO IR lesson. Went to school to listen FG and Apple sing, in the end none of the ODAC representatives qualified for the Finals. Had lunch with David and went to ODAC to do paperwork. Half an hour later, the rest of the ODAC came to prepare logistics for the Berkelah trip. Concentration was affected by the increased activity in ODAC room, got Bird to help me type with the lure of ice cream....But soon she got bored too and we took turns to type....Attended the ADJAM meeting , it seems to be moving in the correct direction with representative from the other 3 unis coming in and freshies forming the rest of the committee. However, time is very tight, I wish them all the best for ADJAM 2006.
Thurs, attended my first Marketing Lecture, the class was quite small and heard Marketing is quite difficult to score, wondering whether to change Management Accounting instead. Collected stores for Berkelah, was suppose to go out with Isabelle but I went out with JS, Yang and group 3 to buy food for Berkelah instead.
Friday, Crashed Lin's lesson for FI in the morning. Realise that I was the only Crasher....The lecture was full and there was about 20 other students who came to lesson but had no seats. The lecturer Stephen apologise on behalf of the crashers to the students who had no seats and he couldnt do anything about it. The situation was settled when admin came. I tot they were going to check the student IDs, but instead, they manage to shift students from Nageb's IBM lesson to change lecture rooms with us!!! Student power won the Day!!! Its really amazing, 300 students changing lecture rooms at a time...oh well part of the blame have to go to the people who planned the schedule...
Sept 15-17 was our Berkelah trip. The trek was nothing fantastic though, the company was great, most of the participants were from our FOT 2006 and got to interact more with them and also new participants. The only downside was the rain, FG and I sat in the rain for two hours, protected by only the Baka...we were joined by Tony, Weide, Rex and Zheyang...Robin wanted to join us, but he was wearing the Argentina jacket we gave him, which was not waterproof. When the rain subsided, EXCOs gals tent come out and dried their tent and went back to rest. FG and I proceeded to talk cock with Robin and Da Sao and Justin. We got tired and took over Tony and Bernard's hammock, they had abandoned it for the comfort of the tent. We slept till the next day and prepared to trek home. Took lots of photos at the entrance of Berkelah, the 4 wheel drive came and we left for home. At Larkin Bus Interchange, most of us were going for dinner at Taman Seri Tebrau Market. But surprisingly, I wasnt that keen to go for dinner. I wasnt really hungry and wanted to back to watch soccer...and ermmm somebody wasnt going either.... But the lure of the the crayfish and other food was too hard to ignore and I succumbed....

Back home, welcomed by the result of Chelsea beating Liverpool 1-0 and witnessing Arsenal beating Manure 1-0 at OT!!!! Makes it a great day!!!!

But its all single sided......
