Saturday was my one of my army buddies wedding. He so hiao, ORD liao still want to hold military wedding. Ya, so being buddies, we were his swordbearers. This is a truly NSman military wedding. The groom is an NSman, the swordbearers are all NSman, even the Warrant Officer he engaged to help, has retired!!! Ya, so that explains why I am in the No.1 uniform. I think I look like a BA ZHANG!

SIM isnt heartless after all. My library books were due on 2 June (Sat) but I only returned it today (Monday). I was prepared to pay a fine but surprise surprise surprise, the librarian said:" Joo Guan? There is no fine." Great! I made to way to mug alone.... The library is eeriely empty, about 10% was filled. Friday! Please come asap!!!!

I tried looking for a reference book on FI but it seems that all were borrowed except 1 in the short loan section. I decided to wait till after 5pm to borrow, so that I could borrow overnight. So at 1830, I went back to borrow and to my horror, its gone!!!!!!! Argh!!!!! Its amazing all the IR books were left untouched but seems like FI is a hot topic! I refused to give up and went back to check at 1930. Seems like my efforts were rewarded and there laid 1 precious copy on the shelf! Its seems like a good omen for me, maybe I gonna pass FI with only 4 days of semi mugging!

Down to my last paper! This shit is killing me!!

Had a reunion bbq on Sat evening with my Sec 1-2 classmates! It was my best bud's idea. About 19 of us turned up. Its rather amazing to meet up with old friends. Especially those whom you havent met since graduation from secondary school (which is like 10 years ago).

The hot topics are (as usual):

1. What are you doing now?
2. Where are you working/studying?
3. Are you single/attached/married?

When I was posed with question 3, I told them I was single and some of them were like - "Why are you single? I thought I saw you with a gal the other time? Must be one of your flings right!!" I sat there dumbfolded, how do you answer this questions?!?!?!? Should have told them that I was the one being flung instead!

After the bbq, headed down to Dempsey Road for a drink. Tried looking for my new workplace but my efforts were in vain in the dark. Dempsey's rather cool and chill to hang out. Too bad they close early at 2.

Something to Ponder about. Dempsey Road used to be a British Army Barracks and I noticed something about British Army Barracks. My unit used to be at old British Barracks and I realise that both my camp and Dempsey Road has a number of roundabouts instead of junctions! My old camp had 2 while Dempsey had about 3, as compared to most new Army camps which has zilch!
